UGOTNERVE received this commentary from MacDailyNews regarding their prediction of how much a failure Henrico would be when they switched to Dells from Macs.  

What is even more important about their predictions is that they knew that students would be the ones to suffer and that, as is their nature, Henrico’s  school leaders would sweep the failure under the rug.

MacDailyNews Take: These people are about to learn a bunch of important lessons. Bad decisions have consequences. Too bad for the students, but they’ll be learning something, too. What a step backwards! So, now Henrico will have Windows XP where they could’ve had Mac OS X Tiger. Think about that for a moment. Wow. It’s not the hardware, Henrico folks. All personal computers and operating systems are not the same. Oh, never mind, you’ll learn soon enough. Wonder if we’ll ever know if things are going badly for Henrico or will it just be swept under the rug?

Henrico School Leader Suspended

Confidential sources within Henrico County Public School’s central office have reported that two top district officials have been suspended by the superintendent.

One of the individuals that were reportedly suspended held the office of Assistant Superintendent of Operations.   Armando de Leon was said to have been suspended by the superintendent this month.  Sources state that de Leon was so upset regarding the suspension that he left the district for another position.

Many in central office are speaking about the hypocrisy of Henrico’s leaders in suspending de Leon, but continuing to employ unethical leaders such as Philip Jepson, Fred Morton, Marilyn Royal, Andrew Armstrong, Paul Jordan, John Rockenbrod, and many others.

Whose Side Is Lamont Bagby On????

Whose side is Lamont Bagby, the sole African-American school board member for Henrico County Public Schools, on?

Bagby reportedly supports and defends the illegal, unethical, and divisive actions of Henrico’s leaders and his board member peers, despite his election promises to parents, students, and teachers within the Fairfield district that put him in office.  

Those close to him have reportedly stated that, since his election, Bagby has not only changed for the worse, but has completely lost touch with who and what he really is.  They have also shared that Bagby has permitted others, like Mediocre Morton and his twin, John Montgomery, to exploit him in their efforts to discredit, discriminate, and dismiss people of color in an effort to keep the students, schools, parents, and teachers oppressed.

Still others, specifically people of color, have expressed utter disappointment and dismay in the manner in which Bagby has carried himself as an African-American.  One local civil rights leader, under the condition of anonymity, stated that “Henrico County always knows how to find the weakest blacks in order to place them in leadership roles so that they can say, “SEE WE ARE DIVERSE,” when in reality, they choose black puppets, like Bagby, who take up space, but in no way have a backbone or voice.”

Whose side is Bagby on?

Recent reports indicate that Bagby has “flipped the script” behind closed doors when with his all-black constituency.  He reportedly directed black parents and community leaders to “put pressure on the superintendent and school board members regarding their racist ways that have lead to the “separate and unequal” conditions for Henrico’s East End families.

Whose side is Bagby on?

One thing is certain, Bagby is on whatever side suits him for the moment.  He is inconsistent, unreliable, lacking integrity, out of touch with the suffering of those that elected him, kissing the tails of those that oppress those that elected him, and has been coined, “the sell-out.”

Who has Bagby sold out?

Every child of color……

Every parent of color…..

Every grandparent of color…..

Every poor child…….

Every disabled child…..

Every one that he vowed to protect, represent, and speak for.

Whose side is Bagby on?

Bagby, along with the other Henrico leaders and school board members, is on the side of failure, racism, classism, sexism, and discrimination based on disabilities.

Basically………Bagby is on the WRONG SIDE!

Editor Slams Fred Morton’s Tech Leadership, Or Lack There Of…

“I’ve not been able to find any info on what changes may have occurred in the school system’s tech support since the move. However, I did receive the following email from a teacher who asked to remain nameless: :I teach in Montgomery County where Fred Morton was superintendent before moving to Henrico. While here, he and his hand-picked technology director Harvey Goodwin managed to cease purchase of Macs in all schools in most classes.

“When he was named superintendent of Henrico, I knew the Macs were in jeopardy, and, sure enough, within in a year it was over. I think if Morton hadn’t gone there the Macs would have continued to be used in all schools. Morton considered himself to be quite the technology guru for a superintendent. PowerPoint was his big thing, and we all know how awful that can be in the wrong hands.”

He has no doctorate, he cannot communicate, he has no vision, he is extremely insecure, he cannot relate to people of color, he dictates through fear, he cannot write, and he only promotes incompetent people that kiss his ——!

We love it!  And yes, Attorney General Holder must be a “fly on the wall” in Henrico County Public Schools!

More Evidence That Mediocre Fred Morton Is CLUELESS!

“Henrico County Superintendent Fred Morton IV said Virginia has a strong assessment and accountability system and doesn’t need the federal government to tell school districts to do what they already were doing.

“I do not know of an educator who is not willing to work with all kinds of kids or not willing to deal with tough kids,” Morton said. “I think it’s an insult to the state and the General Assembly for U.S. Secretary of Education Margaret Spellings to take credit for the achievement growth in Virginia when we were already well on the way.”

It is official, Mediocre Morton is not only incompetent, but the quote above shows that he does not mind lying at the drop of a hat.  Those that know him and know the weak leaders that he hires and promotes, also know that the federal government must make laws and accountability standards for people like him who do nothing for children and families that are different from him or that do not look like him.  Keep in mind that Henrico’s achievement has drastically declined since Mediocre’s appointment five years ago.

Mediocre Morton has it all twisted, the federal government is not the insult, FRED MORTON AS A SUPERINTENDENT IS AN INSULT TO ALL CHILDREN IN HENRICO!!!!!

Henrico Schools To Be Investigated To Find Out How Many People Of Color They Have Discriminated Against

We knew that this day would come.

We told our readers that this day would come.

Sources close to central office officials in Henrico County Public Schools have confirmed that the district is facing possible pressure regarding the method and manner in which they have gone after educators and administrators of color under Mediocre Morton’s leadership.

Everything that Mediocre and his crew have tried so desperately to cover-up is now being brought up by those close to them that are sick and tired of the injustice.

We have even received reports that central office sources are contacting the Office of Civil Rights in order to communicate the fact that district officials have made falsified statements to the federal investigators in an effort to avoid negative findings.

“WHAT A TANGLED WEB WE WEAVE WHEN WE……(YOU KNOW THE REST, AND SO DO MEDIOCRE FRED AND THEM!”)

It seems as though all is falling apart for Henrico’s leaders, from the inside out!  As one central office source stated, “Morton is on his way out.  He cannot do anything worse than he has done to us already.  We are not scared of him anymore!”

This should be very interesting, especially since Mediocre seems to have been forced to take a demotion in order to continue working in education.

Was Fred S. Morton IV Forced To Leave Henrico And Take A Demotion?

As UGOTNERVE has reported, Mediocre Morton will be packing up and taking his “incompetence show” to the Maggie Walker Governor’s school.

We also shared that our sympathies are with the students and teachers of the school considering the hell that Mediocre has created in Henrico schols.

But, a deeper question surfaces regarding Mediocre’s last minute acceptance of the director (or principal) position at Maggie Walker.  

WHY DID MEDIOCRE MORTON TAKE A DEMOTION FROM BEING A SUPERINTENDENT TO BEING A PRINCIPAL????

UGOTNERVE has several theories, all of which we are certain all of those involved in “appointing” Mediocre to the position will deny.

1)  Principal Hunt, the retiring principal of Maggie Walker, is a Henrico County Public School native.  He served in the district for over thirty years.   Could Hunt have given Mediocre the “hook-up?”

2)  The word was that Mediocre Morton was planning to sale his house and run for the border, the Canadian border, that is.  What made him want to stay?  Couldn’t get a job anywhere else?

3)  Mediocre Morton’s contract was only extended one year by the Sorry School board.  Fortunately, the pathetic board did not extend the contract more than one year. Word in central office is that Mediocre needs more work time before he can retire, so he HAS to work somewhere.

At least one student at Maggie Walker has expressed concern about Mediocre taking the helm of the school:

Charles Condro, a student at Maggie Walker, said he thought students were looking for a leader who understands the unique qualities of the school. “We want someone who understands what the school is about.”-www.timesdispatch.com

Charles, you are definitely correct in your opinion of Mediocre Morton, he did not have the slightest clue of  how Henrico’s schools work, and he will not have what your school needs in order to be successful.

All we can say to the potential victims of Maggie Walker…….WATCH OUT!!!!

Why Doesn’t Henrico Have A Superintendent With Guts Like Atlanta?

Atlanta’s superintendent, Beverly Hall, had the “kahunas” to rid the district of weak principals because she understood that they are one of the major barriers to school, teacher, and student success.

Why doesn’t Mediocre Morton get it???????  Perhaps it is because he hires those that are like him; weak, mediocre, incompetent, and clueless.

We will keep on asking, WHEN WILL CHILDREN BE A PRIORITY FOR MEDIOCRE  ”BIG DISAPPOINTMENT” MORTON AND THE SORRY SCHOOL BOARD?

Atlanta superintendent named nation’s best Beverly Hall honored by the American Association of School Administrators By LAURA DIAMOND The Atlanta Journal-Constitution Friday, February 20, 2009 Atlanta schools Superintendent Beverly Hall was named the nation’s top superintendent Friday morning by the American Association of School Administrators. She was one of four finalists for the honor, beating out superintendents from Indianapolis, Trussville, Ala., and Fayette County, Ky. [ Submit your comments below. ] Hall came to Atlanta in 1999 and has steadily improved students’ test scores and increased graduation rates through various academic programs. She required low-performing schools to implement rigorous programs that focus on literacy and math skills. She increased the amount of training teachers received and she removed weak principals and replaced them with those she deemed better equipped to improve student learning. State data shows the programs are working. For example, about 72 percent of the system’s students graduated on time in 2008, up from 39 percent in 2002. Hall, 60, has said while the district is succeeding, more work is needed. The district’s test scores still lag behind many state and national averages. But Atlanta was the only one of 11 urban school districts that improved test scores in each subject and grade level between 2002 and 2007 on the National Assessment of Educational Progress exams. These tests compare academic performance across states using tougher criteria than Georgia’s own state exams. Besides the title, the national group will present a $10,000 scholarship to a high school student in Hall’s name. She also will participate in a national forum on education issues and will receive a jacket emblazoned with the National Superintendent of the Year emblem.

School Board Member Calls Superintendent Fred S. Morton A “Big Disappointment”!

It appears as though at least one school board member is coming around to finally acknowledging what a failure Mediocre Fred Morton was as the superintendent for Henrico County Public Schools.

Sources close to UGOTNERVE have shared that a school board member finally admitted that Morton was, indeed, a “BIG DISAPPOINTMENT.”

It stands to reason that if Mediocre Morton was such a “BIG FLOP,” why was his contract extended for another year by the school board?  We know why, the board put the needs of an incompetent, overpaid, undereducated, culturally incompetent old man over the needs of Henrico’s children and families.  

So, Mediocre Morton was permitted to rob Henrico’s taxpayers blind for another $211,000 dollars.  THAT IS A LOT OF MONEY TO WASTE ON SOMEONE WHO IS A “BIG DISAPPOINTMENT”!!!!!  Think of how those funds could have been used, over the five years that Mediocre Morton terrorized Henrico, for the needs of students.

HENRICO’S SCHOOL BOARD WASTED OVER ONE MILLION DOLLARS  OF TAXPAYER’S MONIES BY CONTINUING TO EMPLOY THIS “BIG DISAPPOINTMENT”!

Fortunately, Mediocre Morton will be moving on to be a “BIG DISAPPOINTMENT” for some other school district.  Hopefully, they will not waste as much money on him for it!
