The superintendent’s oath is a promise that Mediocre Morton made to the people of the Commonwealth, and more importantly, to GOD, and guess what?
HE VIOLATED IT TO BOTH THE PEOPLE AND GOD. HOW? Read it for yourself:

COMMONWEALTH OF VIRGINIA, COUNTY/CITY OF ________________________, TO-WIT:
I, ___________________________________, do solemnly swear that I will support the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of the Commonwealth of Virginia, and that I will faithfully and impartially discharge and perform all the duties incumbent upon me as superintendent of ___________________________ according to the best of my ability. So help me God.

Mediocre has violated the Constitution of The United States.
Mediocre has violated the Constitution of The Commonwealth of Virginia.
Mediocre has not done his job for children faithfully OR impartially.
(Even though he may have worked to his mediocre ability!)
Evidently, either God did not help him or he ignored God’s help; we think that it is the latter.
Who is holding him accountable for violating his sworn oath?
We know that the school board can’t hold him accountable for violating his oath because they have violated theirs!
That is the state of Henrico County Public School’s leadership…….break an oath, destroy a child!
KEEP UP THE NERVE!
He, who does not believe, stands in fear of NO ONE! It is believed that the leaders in Henrico County Public Schools do whatever comes to mind. There is no accountability or responsibility. The shame of it all is that one of the members of the school board was a principal and had high expectations of her teachers and students. She worked in communities of great need and saw the disparities. What happened to that principal that many admired far and near? What happened to that caring spirit? Perhaps, she fooled all of us as parents and educators. Perhaps, she was just a figure head who pretended to be a leader and role model for students and teachers. What a dangerous game she may have played.
The second-rate superintendent is probably the BIGGEST issue. The real problem is lack of respect and integrity that no longer existed once that superintendent was placed over the Henrico County Public Schools. It seemed as if he had no one holding him accountable for the wrong that he did from the start. How could he in good consciousness place such immature people in positions who had not demonstrated leadership skills or vision? What a shame for a county (Henrico) who led the way for other area school districts to fall into such despair and hopelessness. Now, it appears that he is attempting to WOW the people when he can at the board meetings. He is such a disgrace to educational leadership and a disappointment to the poor administrators that he tried to lead. It is true that people presumably hire those who are just like them. The superintendent made this thought a true reality…start thinking about the areas of great concern in the system and more than likely, you will find one who is just like he is…incompetent. We have lost heart and it appears that there is little hope with dim light at the end. May hope find its way back into our educational system as a gift with the new superintendent!
