We love this! It exposes the double standard that exists in Henrico under Mediocre Morton and the Sorry School Board!  

This commentator quotes Tim Wise, who has offered his expertise to those in Henrico County that are filing the class action lawsuit against the school district for their use of white privilege in depriving children, parents, and educators of their civil rights.

Whites, like Mediocre Morton and Twice Illegally Appointed Armstrong can break every rule in the book and never…..never…..never….never be disciplined.  In fact, under the code of white privilege, they are rewarded by an extended contract and a permanent appointment.  That is how white privilege works.

White privilege is rampant, but it is also being exposed and being eliminated by others, including whites, themselves!  (We guess that Mediocre Fred and them didn’t get or couldn’t read that memo!)

We are sure that during the next elections in Henrico, they will REALLY understand the fact that white privilege is dead!

We had to share it with our readers!

Take a look at the REAL manual that Mediocre Morton and the School Board members are said to use as they run the district’s schools, children, parents, educators, and entire community into the ground.

We knew that they were not going by “the book” because they have broken every law in “the book.”

When Teachers’ Warnings Go Ignored, Death and Destruction Are A Given

So many educators have warned the leaders of Henrico County Public Schools of the dangerous conditions within the schools, but the leaders, including Mediocre Morton, have turned a deaf ear and a blind eye.  

Why? Because they do not view Henrico’s East End children as THEIR OWN children.  In fact, Mediocre Morton is said to view Henrico’s children as “less than human,” and “an afterthought.”  One source in central office confirmed that Mediocre NEVER poses the question of how his decisions may impact children BEFORE he makes them, he just ups and makes the decisions.  (We knew that already.)

Henrico School’s Draws Its Racial Lines, From The Classroom, To The Boardroom

Nearly forty years ago, Henrico County Public Schools closed its doors to its African-American students and families in an effort to avoid desegregating.

Today, Mediocre Morton and the Sorry School Board are doing the same thing in order to ensure that the East End of Henrico continues to be segregated, “separate and unequal”, with students of color and economically challenged students receiving less educational access and opportunity; along with a poorer quality of leaders.

The documentation supporting that the district has violated the terms of Brown v. Board of Education is overwhelming, and is one of the grounds for the class action suit that is in its final planning stages prior to being submitted to federal court.

After years of trying to resolve the inequality, injustice, and discrimination diplomatically; and being faced with school leaders that say that the inequality does not exist; school leaders that benefit and profit from committing and upholding injustices committed against Henrico’s East End families and educators, and school leaders that practice discrimination and institutionalized racism as the norm because their hearts are so corrupt; parents, students, and educators have reached a breaking point, and now, the courts will be brought in to bring justice to Henrico’s families and communities on the East End.

The endeavor has been a long-time coming, but because of the determination, courage, and sacrificial stance of a few; thousands will experience justice; more importantly, the few that are responsible for the inequality, injustice, and discrimination will finally be held accountable for their negligence and callous hearts.

Students AND Teachers Still Fearful At John Rolfe

During a recent community meeting, both, the students and parents of John Rolfe Middle School spoke out about the increasing violence, disruptions, and fights that are in the school this year.

As UGOTNERVE has reported, Andy Armstrong, the twice illegally appointed principal of John Rolfe Middle, has no vision, no discipline, and no control over the students OR teachers within the school.

Students told horrific stories of bathroom brawls, fights during lunch, and even fights between classes.  One student shared that, “they put us on silent lunch, but that doesn’t work.  The kids who cause all the problems are the ones that that they can’t control or are scared of.  It is worse than last year, especially when Mr. Jordan is the principal for the eighth graders.  He was our principal in seventh grade and we thought that he was bad then.  He is scared of all of the bad students and lets them get away with whatever they want so that he doesn’t have to deal with them.  The teachers and the students say so.  My mother says that he does not have a back bone.”

Well, out of the mouths of babes!

But we all know that Mediocre Morton and the Sorry School Board could care less about Rolfe’s mostly black and economically disadvantaged children, so they will keep the twice illegally appointed incompetent Armstrong in his role, stealing nearly six figures from taxpayers for causing children to fail and be unsafe.

They are definitely a sad bunch! 

One thing is for sure, they have no one to blame Armstrong’s failure on anymore.  We all know that last year Mediocre Morton removed one of the most disciplined, professional, and instructionally gifted assistant principals that had been at Rolfe nearly as long as the twice illegally appointed Armstrong had been alive.

For Mediocre Morton, his purpose was to clear the way for Armstrong to be as mediocre as he is without any challenges or any one to stand up against him for the students of Rolfe.  

Well, now, twice illegally appointed Armstrong’s little stuff is “blowing in the wind,” even with all the help that he receives from central office, they are even saying that the mess at Rolfe cannot be cleaned up until twice illegally appointed is gone.  

So when the people that Mediocre Morton sent to give Twice Illegally Appointed Armstrong a life line say that it is a lost cause, you would think that the Moron Morton would start thinking about the children instead of his crony that is not only incompetent, but grossly negligent to the point that children’s welfare is being compromised.

But like we said before, Mediocre Morton will die first before he will remove Twice Illegally Appointed Armstrong, because for him, it is about arrogance, pride, and to hell with the mostly black and poor children at Rolfe…..just as long as Mediocre Morton can save face………..but is he really?

Last time we checked, public opinion within the district not only classified Mediocre Morton as incompetent, arrogant, clueless, insecure, a dicktator, unable to communicate properly, and just plain ignorant; but the consensus is that he has driven Henrico’s schools straight into hell to the point that no one want to move or stay in the county; and even worse yet, Henrico’s parents are trying to get their children into RICHMOND’s….yes….RICHMOND’s schools.

WHY IS MEDIOCRE STILL ON THE PAYROLL, STEALING TAXPAYER’S MONEY FOR MAKING FAILURE THE ONLY OPTION FOR HENRICO’S CHILDREN AND FAMILIES?

Is Steve Martin On Henrico’s School Board?

This is one story that we HAD to share with our readers!

One of our parents swore that Steve Martin was on Henrico’s School Board.  In fact, during one of the class action lawsuit organizational meetings, they even argued the “legal eagle” team into the ground, saying that comedian Steve Martin was on the board, that was until it was revealed who the board member really was.

That’s right, you guessed it……..it was not Steve Martin,

 It was……

.  John Montgomery, the Varina District board member.

Now, we must admit that there is an uncanny resemblance between the two, but the only difference is that Steve Martin “played” a role in “THE JERK,” while John Montgomery is “living” the role of “THE JERK” when it comes to how he is “jerking” Henrico’s children, families, and educators on the East End around.

Besides, Steve Martin is a great humanitarian that uses his power, position, and money to help, not harm; those in need.

John Montgomery can barely make it through a school board meeting without having to request a recess to go to the bathroom, AND will vote on things that he has no idea for what he is voting about…….this is the man that is suppose to guide and protect the future of children….not to mention, it is said that Montgomery is quoted as threatened to put his shoe in a very inappropriate place while he was commenting on a blog that criticized him.

One thing is for sure, UGOTNERVE will never hear from Montgomery, Mediocre Morton, or any of the rest of the cowards.  They only bully children, parents, and educators; not anyone that can really beat their tails!

Reader Calls Diana Winston of Henrico’s School Board OUT!

We love our readers!  They say it like it ’tis!  This reader called Diana Winston, the retired principal-turned-school-board-chairwoman on the carpet for being a hypocrite!  She is not only clueless, but does not care about children or adults in the least.  

Winston has proven on more than one occasion that she is one of the “good o’le girls” who is racist down to her clumped on mascara to her puffed up southern hair-do, and wickedy-white-witch like voice that is cruel to all those that she does not like….

 

 

 

As our reader said, Winston has no heart for children, is racist, heartless, and just plain ignorant!  The fact that she was under Mediocre Morton before, now she is his boss, she knows how he mistreated her and her family during their time of challenge, but she has forgotten how heartless and ignorant Mediocre was to her and her family.  Instead, she has allowed him to go on and harm others, especially children.

Winston, get some guts along with the rest of the stool pigeons that sit on the board!  You guys are utterly disgusting and disgraceful for what you have allowed to take place in Henrico’s schools.

“He, who does not believe, stands in fear of NO ONE! It is believed that the leaders in Henrico County Public Schools do whatever comes to mind. There is no accountability or responsibility. The shame of it all is that one of the members of the school board was a principal and had high expectations of her teachers and students. She worked in communities of great need and saw the disparities. What happened to that principal that many admired far and near? What happened to that caring spirit? Perhaps, she fooled all of us as parents and educators. Perhaps, she was just a figure head who pretended to be a leader and role model for students and teachers. What a dangerous game she may have played.
The second-rate superintendent is probably the BIGGEST issue. The real problem is lack of respect and integrity that no longer existed once that superintendent was placed over the Henrico County Public Schools. It seemed as if he had no one holding him accountable for the wrong that he did from the start. How could he in good consciousness place such immature people in positions who had not demonstrated leadership skills or vision? The superintendent made this thought a true reality…start thinking about the areas of great concern in the system and more than likely, you will find one who is just like he is…incompetent. We have lost heart and it appears that there is little hope with dim light at the end. May hope find its way back into our educational system as a gift with the new superintendent! Mediocre Morton Violated The Superintendent’s Oath!

The superintendent’s oath is a promise that Mediocre Morton made to the people of the Commonwealth, and more importantly, to GOD, and guess what?

HE VIOLATED IT TO BOTH THE PEOPLE AND GOD.  HOW?  Read it for yourself:

Henrico Schools Do Not Meet The Needs of Special Education Students

The Virginia Department of Education reports that Henrico County Public Schools are not meeting the needs of students and families with special needs in several of the key indicator areas.  In some cases, the percentages are staggering as to how poorly the district is doing, however, neither the superintendent, nor the school board have taken any steps to ensure an action plan that would address the severe deficits.

The report indicates that:

 

• Students with special needs represent 7, 026 of the 47, 680 student population in the district.  That is nearly 20% of the entire student population.

 

• Students with disabilities did not meet expectations for proficiency in English and Reading.  The state target was 73%, but the division only reached 64%.

 

• Students with disabilities did not meet expectations for proficiency in Math.  That state target was 71%, but the district only reached 61%.

 

• Students with disabilities had a significant discrepancy in the rates of suspension and expulsions as opposed to their general education counterparts.  They were suspended and expelled a great deal more.

 

• Students with disabilities were required to spend 80% or more time inside the regular classroom with their general education peers, not being isolated in classrooms by themselves.  The state’s target was 60%, but the district only reached 42%.

 

• Students with disabilities were required to spend 40% or less time inside the regular classroom.  The state target was 12%, but the district went over by nearly double that, with 23%.

 

• Students with disabilities were that required services outside of the public school setting was not to go over the state target of 2%, but in Henrico, they sent over double the percentage of children, 5%, out of the traditional public school setting because they were not equipped to meet their needs.

 

• Henrico County Public Schools was to make an active effort to involve parents, NOT exclude them, from the special education processes of their children, in an effort to improve services and results for children with disabilities.  As can be expected through as a result of their intimidation and belitting of parents that attempt to be involved in the education of their children, the district did not meet the state target of 65%.  They only reached 60% .

 

• Children aged 17 and above with IEP’s must be able to meet their post-secondary goals with 100% as the target for the state.  Henrico only reached 60%.

 

Our question………the district has Dr. Barbara Driver over the special education department…….why are they allowing her to drive students and families with special needs into the repeated ditches of failure?

More importantly, why is there no action plan, specialized team, full fledged effort to ensure that these goals are met?  

Could it be due to the fact that many of the children with special needs are children of color that Henrico’s leaders traditionally overlook and are insensitive to?

It appears as though the Sorry School Board is more concerned with PE classes than SPED classes!
