A Message For Henrico County Public School’s Leaders, You Can’t Stop The Message!

YOU CAN’T DISMISS THE MESSAGE…..We love what Paul said in the bible to wicked and corrupt leaders like Morton and the school board members that have wicked hearts and care nothing about children.

I want to report to you, friends, that my imprisonment here has had the opposite of its intended effect. Instead of being squelched, the Message has actually prospered. All the soldiers here, and everyone else, too, found out that I’m in jail because of this Messiah. That piqued their curiosity, and now they’ve learned all about him. Not only that, but most of the followers of Jesus here have become far more sure of themselves in the faith than ever, speaking out fearlessly about God, about the Messiah.

 15-17It’s true that some here preach Christ because with me out of the way, they think they’ll step right into the spotlight. But the others do it with the best heart in the world. One group is motivated by pure love, knowing that I am here defending the Message, wanting to help. The others, now that I’m out of the picture, are merely greedy, hoping to get something out of it for themselves. Their motives are bad. They see me as their competition, and so the worse it goes for me, the better—they think—for them.

 18-21So how am I to respond? I’ve decided that I really don’t care about their motives, whether mixed, bad, or indifferent. Every time one of them opens his mouth, Christ is proclaimed, so I just cheer them on!

   And I’m going to keep that celebration going because I know how it’s going to turn out. Through your faithful prayers and the generous response of the Spirit of Jesus Christ, everything he wants to do in and through me will be done. I can hardly wait to continue on my course. I don’t expect to be embarrassed in the least. On the contrary, everything happening to me in this jail only serves to make Christ more accurately known, regardless of whether I live or die. They didn’t shut me up; they gave me a pulpit! Alive, I’m Christ’s messenger; dead, I’m his bounty. Life versus even more life! I can’t lose.

 22-26As long as I’m alive in this body, there is good work for me to do. If I had to choose right now, I hardly know which I’d choose. Hard choice! The desire to break camp here and be with Christ is powerful. Some days I can think of nothing better. But most days, because of what you are going through, I am sure that it’s better for me to stick it out here. So I plan to be around awhile, companion to you as your growth and joy in this life of trusting God continues. You can start looking forward to a great reunion when I come visit you again. We’ll be praising Christ, enjoying each other.

 27-30Meanwhile, live in such a way that you are a credit to the Message of Christ. Let nothing in your conduct hang on whether I come or not. Your conduct must be the same whether I show up to see things for myself or hear of it from a distance. Stand united, singular in vision, contending for people’s trust in the Message, the good news, not flinching or dodging in the slightest before the opposition. Your courage and unity will show them what they’re up against: defeat for them, victory for you—and both because of God. There’s far more to this life than trusting in Christ. There’s also suffering for him. And the suffering is as much a gift as the trusting. You’re involved in the same kind of struggle you saw me go through, on which you are now getting an updated report in this letter.”

HCPS’s Leaders Even Tried To Silence Jesus Christ In Their Middle Schools!

Since the “era of exposure” has began for Henrico County Public Schools, the district’s corrupt administrators and attorneys have made futile efforts to stop the revolution, but as we have shared, “THEY CANNOT STOP THIS REVOLUTION THAT WILL GUARANTEE JUSTICE AND EQUALITY FOR OUR CHILDREN.”

Morton, King, Armstrong, and others have made every effort to silence the voices of inevitable change from the corrupt systems that they thrive in.  As Michelle Obama so boldly stated, “we are to fight for the world that we want to see, not for the world that is or has been.”

Henrico has been so hell bent on silencing the truth that they even tried to “silence Jesus.”  Of course they lost, just like they will loose the class action suit.   Henrico’s administrators have a pattern of behavior of depriving children of their civil rights in their most vulnerable areas, whether it be special education or religion…they are just a “heartless” bunch.

But….they are loosing more and more……so keep up the pressure and exposure!

“The trouble began in the 2002-2003 academic year when an ill-informed parent of a child who did not attend a student club known as the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (“FCA“) complained that Henrico County should not permit students to attend a religious club during a period that students were free to participate in club activities. Henrico County singled out the FCA and prohibited the students from participating in the club during the period other clubs operated. Instead of neutrality, Henrico County became hostile to the Christian club in violation of the First Amendment and the Equal Access Act.

The students met with the School Principal but to no avail. During finals, at the end of the academic year, the students voted to give the School Administrators and the County of Henrico a failing grade in religious freedom under the First Amendment and the Equal Access Act. The students voted to take legal action if necessary to restore religious freedom in their Middle School.

Armed with the First Amendment, the Equal Access Act and a recent decision from theFederal Court of Appeals for the 3rd Circuit, Thomas H. Roberts threatened to file a federal suit seeking injunctive relief, damages and attorneys fees unless Henrico County ended its violations, reversed its decision and changed its policy. After reviewing the legal authority provided to them, the County conceded and promised that the Fellowship of Christian Athletes could resume its club meetings and activities like any other club.”

Excellence Everyday???!!! What Tha?!

Excellence Everyday.  That is the new slogan that is on the website of John Rolfe Middle School, where Andy Armstrong was illegally appointed by Henrico’s superintendent as the “acting” principal of the school, and despite being illegally appointed AGAIN as the permanent principal, it is clear that Armstrong is still “acting,” and we can guarantee that he will NOT receive an Grammy for either “leading role” performance, especially when his awful performance cost Rolfe’s children and families dearly.

Excellence Everyday.  That is something that neither John Rolfe’s twice illegally appointed principal, Andy Armstrong, nor Fred Morton, the superintendent that appointed him, nor the school board that approved him understand or can achieve for Rolfe’s children.

Excellence Everyday.  How can any leader proclaim that they practice “excellence everyday” when they are self-acknowledged liar, have falsified documents, lied to and about parents, lied to and about students, lied to and about educators.  How does the presence of a twice illegally appointed principal that has admitted to unethical, immoral, and illegal behavior, promote “excellence everyday?”

Excellence Everyday.  How can a leader claim to have “excellence everyday” when a parent can’t even get a phone call or an email returned from the principal in a timely manner.  A teacher can’t even get an email returned at all.

Excellence Everyday.  How can Henrico’s leaders claim “excellence everyday” when the twice illegally appointed principal has endangered the welfare of children by refusing to enforce the student code of conduct or hold teachers accountable that do not?

Excellence Everyday.  How can there be “excellence everyday” when Andy Armstrong, himself, is the poster child for “mediocrity” and “substandard” expectations, if he has expectations at all?

Excellence Everyday.  How can there be “excellence everyday” when children, parents, and educators are subjected to an employee that continues to be employed by the district and protected by Armstrong even though he has verbally assaulted his peers, arrived to work intoxicated, thrown a video tape at the head of a child with special needs, referred to an African-American female student with special needs as a “black bitch”, and been arrested for threatening to assault another educator within the school.  How does Kim Taylor’s presence at Rolfe promote “excellence everday”?

Excellence Everyday.  How can “excellence everyday” exist when teachers like Ms. Hudson, leave their classrooms unsupervised, endangering the welfare of students, resulting in all out physical brawls, but no action is taken.

Excellence Everyday.  How can “excellence everyday” exist when one is not able to tell the difference between the teachers and the students because of rampant dress code violations.  Furthermore, students are permitted to walk around with sagging pants, hats, exposed breasts, short skirts, and inappropriate attire, with no comment by Armstrong.

Excellence Everyday.  How can “excellence everyday” exist when Fred Morton systematically removed any and all strong and positive African-American role models from the school that has over 70% African-American student population.  His actions are strategically aimed at depriving students and educators of competent role models that have high expectations, discipline, and integrity.  Hmmmm…..perhaps he borrowed that strategy of keeping African-American down from Willie Lynch’s manual, “The Making of A Slave,” which he obviously shared with Armstrong.  Morton’s actions are symptomatic of the depth and prevalence of “institutionalized racism” and “the racism of low expectations” that he and other district leaders ignorantly support as they place their selfish agendas over the needs of Rolfe’s African-American children and families.  Ignorance that stems from their complete lack of cultural competence and utter insensitivity.

The Willie Lynch Letter and the Making of a Slave

Excellence Everyday.  How can “excellence everyday” exist when Davina Johnson, the Guidance Counselor that neglected Rolfe’s students educationally by failing to have many of their schedules ready for nearly six weeks, all the while hiding them in in-school suspension and the nurse’s office while she did everything but her job, is still present?

Excellence Everyday.  How can “excellence everyday” exist when Fred Morton, the superintendent, boasts of how 70% of the staff of Rolfe “feel safe and are happy” without having any regard for the 30% that do not feel the same.  We guess being one point away from failing is better than failing in Morton’s eyes. 

Excellence Everyday.  How can “excellence everyday” exist when educators at John Rolfe Middle School are forced to choose between keeping their jobs by keeping quiet or advocating for the welfare of children and loosing their jobs?

Excellence Everyday.  How can “excellence everyday” exist when Paul Jordan, the assistant principal that made falsified statements to parents after he participated in the brutal pepper spraying of an African-American male student with special needs that was handcuffed after being bullied all day by a student that was on the school campus illegally, is still present?  This is also the same assistant principal that reportedly gave all of the answers to a math test to a class of students while their teacher was out.

Excellence Everyday.  How can “excellence everyday” exist when less than two weeks before the start of classes, the schedules of students with special needs still are not completed?

Excellence Everyday.  How can “excellence everyday” exist when central office representatives like Rhona Hussein and Kim Coffey fabricate, falsify, and refuse to honor agreements made during meetings with parents of children with special needs at Rolfe?

Excellence Everyday.  How can “excellence everyday” exist when Karen Woods, a token African-American administrator that was placed at Rolfe by Fred Morton, the superintendent, can unashamedly state that she and others, as administrators, are NOT advocates for children to parents and child advocates?  Does Woods not realize that she is an ENEMY if she is not an ADVOCATE?

Excellence Everyday.  How can “excellence everyday” exist when Rolfe’s leader began his trumped up reign due to corruption, deceit, unethical actions, discriminatory practices, and lies at every level of the process by every central office, human resources, and school board member involved?  Last time we checked, “excellence” and “lack of integrity and competency” do not compliment each other.

Excellence Everyday.  How can “excellence everday” exist when the future and welfare of Rolfe’s children continue to be sacrificed for the selfish agendas and political games of adults that can’t so much as run an obedience school for dogs, so we know that they cannot run a state of the art middle school that meets the needs of Rolfe’s children.

Excellence Everyday.  How can “excellence everyday” exist when John Montgomery, Rolfe’s school board member, disregards and belittles the concerns of students, parents, and educators just so he can keep his “good o’le boys” in place?  And yes, Montgomery, we were there at the beginning of last year when the lights went out at Rolfe and the students stampeded down “D” hall right pass you.  Nearly one hundred students running down the hall in the dark….that sounds like a safe environment for children to us!

Excellence Everyday.  How can “excellence everyday” exist when the administrative bullies within Rolfe and central office cultivate a vicious and ruthless atmosphere of intimidation, fear, and retaliation toward students, parents, educators, and administrators that speak out and expose their corrupt acts?  These bullies target those that stand up and speak for children by any means necessary, which includes falsifying reprimands, fabricating disciplinary action, and even delivering threatening communications to them.  How is that “excellence everyday”?

Excellence Everyday.  Fred Morton and the board members obviously do not really want “excellence everyday” for Rolfe’s children, parents, and educators.  If they did, they would not have placed weak, substandard, incompetent, uncaring, and undisciplined so-called leaders over Rolfe.

Excellence Everyday……hmph!  Can we just get excellence for a minute???!!

It is clear that after eight months of illegal promotions, chaos, corruption, unsafe conditions, cronyism, falsified documents, forgeries,  lies to and about parents, teachers, and students; neither Andy Armstrong, Fred Morton, or the school board have a clue as to what “excellence” truly is.  

They create, promote, protect, and defend corruption, then call it excellence.  They must think that ” I AM A FOOL” is written on the foreheads of the parents, students, and educators of Rolfe.  (When it is really a reflection from their own foreheads!)

 

We thought that we would do what we do best, give them a clue!

 

Excellence in Education

We define “excellence” to mean several related things. At the level of the individual learner, it means performing on the boundary of individual ability in ways that test and push back personal limits, in school and in the workplace. Excellence characterizes a school or college that sets high expectations and goals for all learners, then tries in every way possible to help students reach them. Excellence characterizes a society that has adopted these policies, for it will then be prepared through the education and skill of its people to respond to the challenges of a rapidly changing world. Our Nation’s people and its schools and colleges must be committed to achieving excellence in all these senses.

The reality is that because Henrico’s school board has not had the guts to remove Armstrong when they knowingly approved his appointment with the knowledge that he was unethical, had committed illegal acts, and had falsified documents, as well as covered-up for those that had done the same; “excellence everyday” is not what we can expect from Rolfe’s leadership.

We can expect the same ol’e, same ol’e because of the good ol’e boy network is still alive and on the thrive at Rolfe.

There will be no “Excellence Everyday” until there is “Competence Everyday” and “Integrity Everyday” and “Accountability Everyday” and “Passion Everyday” and “Discipline Everyday” and “High Expectations Everyday” and “Dedication Everyday” and “Openness Everyday” and “Honesty Everyday” and “Respect Everyday” and “Communication Everyday” and most importantly,  ”Children First Every Day.”

Montgomery Says That East End Is “Suffering”, But Has Only Added To The Pain Of Henrico’s Students, Parents, And Educators

Tom Lappas, The Henrico Citizen’s editor, quoted Montgomery as saying, “we in the eastern end of the county are suffering right now.”

Montgomery made these comments on September 20, 2007, during a candidate debate.  During that forum, he also made promises to reduce the level of “suffering” that the East End’s students, parents, and educators were experiencing.

Nearly a year later, after winning a very close election, Montgomery has in no way helped to reduce the “suffering” on the East End as he promised.  In fact, as far as the “elected” Montgomery is concerned, the East End is NOT “suffering” as he stated on September 20, 2007.  

His indifferent attitude and repeated disregard of the desperate cries of those students, parents, and educators that were suffering” in September, and continue to “suffer” today, have been muffled by Montgomery’s self-absorbed preoccupation with promoting, defending, and protecting those, like Fred Morton, Marilyn Royal, Philip Jepson, and Andy Armstrong, that are directly responsible for the “suffering” of the East End’s students, parents, and educators.

The truth of the matter is that John Montgomery, who vowed to end the “suffering” on the East End in September 2007, while he was running for office, has become one of the causes of the “suffering” for Henrico’s children, parents, and educators, and does not seem to be in the least bit concerned in changing his role since he has suckered Varina’s residents for their votes.

While some have called Montgomery “heartless” to the needs of students on the East End due to the fact that his son attends a middle school on the West End, despite Mongtomery’s residency within the East End, others have commented that Montgomery never had any intention of “doing the right thing” for Henrico’s East End.  His goal was just to become an elected official by any means necessary, even if it meant obtaining and maintaining his office while standing on the backs of Henrico’s children and families.

John, our children, parents, and educators on the East End are STILL suffering...just at a greater level since you took office because you are hell bent on supporting, defending, and even covering up for  those that are causing the suffering.  In fact, you have even said that they have done a “good job.”   You have even ran from the parents, students, and educators that are “suffering”….Yes, you physically ran from them!   SHAME ON YOU!  

You are right about one thing, they have done a “good job” increasing the “suffering” of innocent children and desperate families, as well as dedicated educators, that only want what you promised but refuse to deliver on.

And one more thing, Henrico’s children, parents, and educators will no longer allow you to walk all over their backs to keep your office.  

JOHN MONTGOMERY, YOU ARE NO LONGER WELCOME, and as so many others have said during your past election efforts, YOUR TIME HAS PASSED……anyone want to nominate Chris Peace to take Montgomery’s place?

Because We DARE To Believe, God Will Win, The Lie Will Die, Corrupt Leaders Will Go

During the most recent class action organizing meeting, Ms. Lucas gave words of encouragement to the parents, educators, administrators, and community advocates that were present.

Several individuals voiced that their main purpose in joining the class action is to hold the evil and corrupt leaders of Henrico County Public Schools accountable for their action and nonaction.  They went on to talk about how the school board should be the main target of the suit, namely, John Montgomery, because of his refusal to keep his campaign promises and support of leaders within the county that are just as corrupt and lack integrity as he does within his district.  

One parent shared that they had sent Montgomery an email regarding an incident where their student was touched inappropriately by another male student, reported it to the administrator, who told the student that the offending student was just “being friendly,” and refused to take disciplinary action against him.  The parent went on to state that the inappropriate touching went on for weeks until they finally removed their child from the school.  

Of course, we all knew the middle school that the sexual abuse took place in.  It is one of the schools where Montgomery defends the incompetency of the leader aggressively, but somehow feels no obligation to defend the safety, sexuality, and dignity of children just as aggressively.

After hearing the another account of how Henrico County Public School board members are permitting the lives of children to be destroyed by choosing corrupt adults over innocent children, Ms. Lucas voiced her concern for the fact that accountability was the only purpose for many choosing to file the class action suit.

Lucas stated, “Accountability is a small, very small piece of the puzzle for me.  Nearly two years ago, I developed a strategic plan that has allowed me to go after Henrico County Public School leadership at every level in order to force them to change.  That must be our focus.  They must change for my child, for yours , and for our children’s children.  While holding criminals like this accountable in civil court and the media will be rewarding because they are too ignorant to monitor themselves or choose the welfare of our children over their own welfare, forcing them to change is the greatest victory.  I know that they will never admit it to me, but our sources throughout the district have shared all of the changes that they have been forced to make because I and many others have had the courage to expose them, the faith to believe that God is all powerful, not them, and the determination to stay after them relentlessly.  Because we have organized as we have, they are fearful.  Just like during the civil rights era, the George Wallaces and those like him feared the unity of the just because when God’s people unify for justice, change has to happen, whether those under demonic influence in Henrico want it or not.  I don’t care who they are, what position they hold, what threats they make toward me, what they take from me, what they say about me, or even what they plot against me; it won’t change the fact that change is inevitable and their era of corruption, deceit, institutionalized racism, and neglect of our children is ending.  There is nothing they can do about it no matter how many corrupt attorneys they retain, no matter how many lies they tell, no matter how many files that they falsify.  All they are doing is helping to expedite their own demise.   This class action lawsuit will be one of the biggest actions in Henrico’s history, especially when we file it on behalf of all children and families on the East End, then open it up to the rest of Henrico.  Morton, the board members, and the others had the opportunity to prevent this if they had chose to listen to those of us that understand the needs of children and the obstacles that are created by the district, but Morton, his attorneys, and the board members thought that they were God and thought that they could prevail against justice and truth for children and those whose voices that they have killed and molested.  We know they were wrong.  Now, they know that they are going to fail.  My job, our job was and continues to be serving as catalysts for change, not just accountability.  We are all part of history in Henrico County Public Schools.  We are all part of history in the lives of our children.  My daughter told me how proud she was that I fight for her and other peoples children.  Whether your children voice it or not, they are proud of you for fighting for them, defending them, and confronting the evil forces in this district whose goal is self-gratification at the expense of the welfare of our children.  Change is the goal, not just accountability.  As long as I am walking this earth and God is on the throne, change is going to happen.  We are the ones with the real power that is built on truth, justice, and the interests of our children.  Morton, Montgomery, Royal, Armstrong, King, and them have an illusion of power that is built on unethical politics, fabricated documents, lies, deceit, incompetence, and just plain stupidity and ignorance.  That is why our foundation continues to built up and their continues to be torn down by others and even by their own actions.  I love it! The bible is true and we are all seeing it manifested right here in Henrico schools.  ”Their own wickedness will correct them.”  That is what is going on.  Their own actions are showing who they really are to the world.  Our job is to expose it and to make sure that we stand against them at every opportunity because a lie cannot live.  Henrico’s leaders don’t have much time before every last one of the corrupt ones will be moved out, and guess what, we will be sitting down watching them drop out like flies.  All we have to do is stand and watch. God is already doing His part by bringing us together, sending supporters, sending attorneys and witnesses, sending all the resources that we need directly to us.  At the same time, He is allowing them to be destroyed because they abused and neglected children and the poor instead of speaking out for them.  God don’t like bullies like that.  He hates them more than we do.  That is why change is going to come as it has throughout history.  The lie that is Henrico County Public School leaders now, will die.”

IS HENRICO’S SUPERINTENDENT A NARCISSIST?

One of our readers, who works in Henrico’s central office, is convinced that Fred Morton, Henrico’s superintendent, is a narcissist as they share how “unbearable” work conditions are becoming under his leadership within past months.   They went on to state that an extreme atmosphere of paranoia, intimidation, and fear is being promoted not only throughout the district, but primarily in central office by Morton and the “thug” attorneys that he uses to threaten and harass employees, all with the school board’s blessings.

“Morton has gone over the edge and needs to go. We want him to go more than the parents, teachers, and students!” were their closing words to us.  

Hmmm…we wonder why? After all, we are certain that UGOTNERVE has nothing to do with his increased fear of continued exposure to the point that he is taking it out on others.

What is Narcissism?

A pattern of traits and behaviors which signify infatuation and obsession with one’s self to the exclusion of all others and the egotistic and ruthless pursuit of one’s gratification, dominance and ambition.

Most narcissists (75%) are men.

NPD is one of a “family” of personality disorders (formerly known as “Cluster B”).

Other members: Borderline PD, Antisocial PD and Histrionic PD.

NPD is often diagnosed with other mental health disorders (“co-morbidity”) – or with substance abuse, or impulsive and reckless behaviors (“dual diagnosis”).

NPD is new (1980) mental health category in the Diagnostic and Statistics Manual (DSM).

There is only scant research regarding narcissism. But what there is has not demonstrated any ethnic, social, cultural, economic, genetic, or professional predilection to NPD.

It is estimated that 0.7-1% of the general population suffer from NPD.

Pathological narcissism was first described in detail by Freud. Other major contributors are: Klein, Horney, Kohut, Kernberg, Millon, Roningstam, Gunderson, Hare.

The onset of narcissism is in infancy, childhood and early adolescence. It is commonly attributed to childhood abuse and trauma inflicted by parents, authority figures, or even peers.

There is a whole range of narcissistic reactions – from the mild, reactive and transient to the permanent personality disorder.

Narcissists are either “Cerebral” (derive their narcissistic supply from their intelligence or academic achievements) – or “Somatic” (derive their narcissistic supply from their physique, exercise, physical or sexual prowess and “conquests”).

Narcissists are either “Classic” – see definition below – or they are “Compensatory”, or “Inverted” – see definitions here: “The Inverted Narcissist”.

NPD is treated in talk therapy (psychodynamic or cognitive-behavioral). The prognosis for an adult narcissist is poor, though his adaptation to life and to others can improve with treatment. Medication is applied to side-effects and behaviors (such as mood or affect disorders and obsession-compulsion) – usually with some success.

An all-pervasive pattern of grandiosity (in fantasy or behaviour), need for admiration or adulation and lack of empathy, usually beginning by early adulthood and present in various contexts. Five (or more) of the following criteria must be met:

  • Feels grandiose and self-important (e.g., exaggerates achievements and talents to the point of lyingdemands to be recognized as superior without commensurate achievements)

  • Constantly envious of others or believes that they feel the same about him or her

  • Arrogant, haughty behaviours or attitudes coupled with rage when frustrated, contradicted, or confronted

New Start, AGAIN….How Can Rolfe Have A “New Start” With “Old Mindsets”?

Sources close to Henrico County Public School central office have shared that Andy Armstrong, John Rolfe Middle School’s twice illegally appointed principal, has issued a communication to staff and parents indicating that this school year will be a “NEW START.” (How much original can one get? How many new starts does Armstrong need before he gets it right?  Can Rolfe’s children survive another NEW START from him?)

Our source continued to share that Armstrong is trying his best to ignore the real issues at John Rolfe by still refusing to deal with them.  Why?  BECAUSE HE IS INCOMPETENT.  Which is the general consensus of not only the central office staff, but of parents, and staff as well.

That’s right, less than two weeks before the “New Start” and he is saying the same thing that he said all last year on his page….NOTHING. We must admit that it is better than his previous page where he did not update the site for nearly six months and had x-rated material by students on it.  It is better to say nothing!

 

The word in the district is that because Armstrong is such an incompetent and weak leader; central office staff, building administrators, parents, educators, and parents alike; all like him because they can do as they please and remain confident that he is far too weak to confront them or hold them accountable.

As one parent stated regarding Armstrong, “he is nice because he always reverses any suspensions that my child gets from the other principals in the school.  Mr. Armstrong understands us.”

Yeah right!  More like, “Mr. Armstrong is terrified of us and too weak to confront or go against us!”   

Under Fred Morton’s leadership, he has drawn people just like him; cowardly, incompetent, and selfish leaders that have no discipline, integrity, or regard for the future of children and preparing them for the future world.  

As several high school students shared, “we know that when we graduate, we will not be ready to compete with others that are our age in the real world.  It should not be that way in Henrico.”

John Rolfe’s children are in for another year of the same old incompetence, disorganization, and lack of discipline as they have in the past….just with a new name.  

Armstrong must think that Rolfe’s students and parents are as ignorant as he is if he thinks that they will fall for this “New Start” thing, especially when the same things are going on that went on last year.

Are student schedules done?  NO!

Is the teacher that threw a video tape at a student, arrived to school intoxicated and had to be removed, was arrested for threatening to physically assault another male educator, verbally assaulted a female educator, or reportedly arrived in training this month “appearing high” gone? NO!

While Morton moved many of the incompetents that were under Armstrong, like Rokenbrod and Ellis, he failed to remove the ultimate incompetent, Armstrong, himself….but then again, Morton did reportedly say that he would move everyone out of Rolfe before he would move Armstrong, no matter how incompetent he was.  (Smart comment, Fred!)

It is interesting how Armstrong was just as incompetent at Varina High as he is at Rolfe based on parent and educator reports, but then again, Morton knew this, and promoted Armstrong because he knew that a weak, incompetent, poor leader is like a “robot” or a “puppet.”  They will do and say anything that they are told to in order to keep a job that they did not earn and know that they cannot keep unless they follow the directions of the one that placed them their illegally.

The parents, advocates, and community leaders of Varina will be watching Rolfe like a “hawk” and burning Armstrong, Morton, and the board member’s butts at every turn.  They are not fooled by Armstrong, a self-proclaimed liar, and his claim of a “New Start.”

Armstrong should have made a “New Start” somewhere else.  Isn’t is just what a pathological liar would say?  ”Just forget about what I have done in the past.  I have not really changed.  I have not been held accountable.  I am still not competent or interesting in being truthful or having integrity. Just forget that I lie, steal, kill, destroy, falsify, show favortism, discriminate, and will even lie on a child if I can save myself.   I will probably do the same thing again because my mindset has not changed and I have been rewarded for my behavior instead of punished.  But I still want a “New Start” so that I can take advantage of a whole new group of children and destroy their lives as I have others.  Besides, no matter what, I still get my paycheck for nearly six figures because people like Fred promised that I would.”

KEEP UP THE NERVE, A LIE CANNOT LIVE….JUST LIKE KING STATED.  AS A RESULT, ARMSTRONG’S TENURE AS ROLFE’S PRINCIPAL CANNOT LIVE, BECAUSE IT IS BUILT ON A LIE.

They would rather leave an ass running the district to save their own asses!  Forget about kids, parents, and educators.

Local Administrator Standing Up For Integrity

Ms. Spinelli refused to give in to the pressures of those above her when she was told to “go along to get along.”  Imagine, being pressured by the higher-up’s to do the wrong thing.  At least VCU and Henrico County Public School’s leaders have somethings in common!

We applaud Ms. Spinelli for having the courage to QUESTION questionable authority and REFUSAL to obey an unethical directive from incompetent leadership that care nothing about integrity.

Linda L. Spinelli says she ultimately refused to approve an application for a VCU degree for former Richmond Police Chief Rodney Monroe, even though she was pressured to do so.

In e-mail messages to the Richmond Times-Dispatch this week, Spinelli, former coordinator of Virginia Commonwealth University’s interdisciplinary studies program, would not identify who applied pressure for her to sign her approval Monroe’s application to graduate from the program without earning enough of his credits at VCU.

Monroe had earned a total of 120 credits over time from various institutions. But like most colleges, VCU requires that to be awarded a degree, a student must earn a minimum number of credit hours — in this case 30 — at the school where the degree is conferred. Monroe earned only six credit hours at VCU.

Spinelli, who has retired, said she raised concerns “from the very beginning” that Monroe did not meet VCU’s residency standard.

“I could not in good conscience sign the application,” for Monroe’s degree, she said in an e-mail message to The Times-Dispatch on Monday night.

“I felt it would have been an insult and extremely unfair to all the students and graduates in the program who, regardless of previous credits earned at other institutions, were required to complete the VCU 30 credit residency requirement,” she added.

Spinelli told The Times-Dispatch that she “had been told to be very flexible” about Monroe’s application before she first contacted Robyn Lacks, an assistant professor of criminal justice who would serve as Monroe’s adviser, in late 2006. The Times-Dispatch reported on the e-mail exchanges in a story on Sunday. The e-mails were obtained under the Freedom of Information Act.

Asked who gave her instructions to be flexible, Spinelli responded, “An administrator with more authority than me.”

Spinelli, in a separate interview with WTVR-Channel 6, said she had not been contacted by VCU President Eugene P. Trani, Richmond Mayor L. Douglas Wilder or then-Dean of the College of Humanities and Sciences Robert D. Holsworth to change her position on Monroe’s application.

She told the television station that she had never met or been contacted by Monroe, who has since left Richmond to become chief of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department in North Carolina.

Monroe’s curriculum plan stated the requirements for 30 hours to be completed at VCU. Spinelli advised Lacks to review the plan with Monroe.

“If he meets with you to complete the [graduation application], that is fine,” Spinelli wrote Lacks on Feb. 17, 2007. “You have my OK to sign my name to it.”

Asked about the e-mail, Spinelli told the Times-Dispatch on Monday: “My concerns were ignored and I felt pressured to ‘go along.’ As I said earlier, ultimately I changed my mind and refused to sign the application.”

Spinelli voiced regret about the possible damage done to VCU’s interdisciplinary studies program, which she called “a wonderful program that allows students to fulfill a lifelong educational goals.”

Lacks has not responded to requests for comment.

VCU’s board of visitors will meet tomorrow in closed session and is expected to discuss the investigation into how Monroe was awarded a degree. The board has overseen that investigation.
